Earlier this fall, on the ground floor of storied concert venue The Great Hall, The Bristol poured its final pint. But no sooner did the English pub make an abrupt Brexit (yes, I made that joke already, and no, I’m not done milking it) than its new iteration began taking shape.
Last month, Bristol co-owner Nav Sangha posted a shot of demolition in progress at the former pub, tagging it #ottosbierhalle. Could Otto’s Berlin Doner, the German street-food spot that took Kensington by storm, be the ones tearing down that wall? (Anyone?)
Looks like our suspicions were correct: Otto’s Bierhalle (1087 Queen West, at Dovercourt, ottosbierhalle.com) is projected to open next month and is currently looking for staff. They’ll be keeping the kitchen, naturally – expect plenty of “Spaten, schnitzel, sausage and spaetzle”.
