Rancho Relaxo (300 College, at Robert, 416-920-0366, ranchorelaxocantina.com) was probably one of the first Mexican restaurants on the College strip. It opened 16 years ago, back when you were still rocking out to Genie In A Bottle on your Sony Shockwave, and has now reopened after a three-month closure to renovate and update the space.
It’s now called Rancho Relaxo Cantina, and the completely overhauled menu includes braised short ribs, small tacos and enfrijoladas (a sort of black bean enchilada).
A new 20-foot bar has been added at the front to feature tequilas and cocktails.
