a few blocks west, rodney’s oys-ter House (469 King West, 416-363-8105) celebrates its new dot-com digs by hosting the Ontario Oyster Festival this Sunday (July 22). Watch the current shucking champ, Oyster Boy’s Adam Collquohon, defend his title, two-step to mollusc-friendly combos, be amazed as magicians pull Malepeques out of their hats and revellers repeatedly dunk Rodney himself into an icy pool of lobster-infested water.
Admission is $20 and all proceeds go to the Canadian Environmental Defence Fund.
