NOW's Natalia Manzocco, Cherry Street Bar-B-Que's Lawrence La Pianta and The Queen And Beaver’s Jamieson Kerr discuss whether it's safe to reopen patios
Toronto has entered Phase Two of reopening, and that means restaurants can open their patios to diners after months of surviving on takeout sales alone.

As NOW’s food writer Natalia Manzocco reported last week, the Cherry Street Bar-B-Que announced it would be sticking to takeout, with owner and pitmaster Lawrence La Pianta saying he couldn’t see a way to safely reopen the restaurant’s patio. In this episode, I’m joined by Nat and Lawrence, and by Jamieson Kerr, whose Queen and Beaver pub has found a patio solution on Elm Street… if only people would show up.
