Paulette’s, the Leslieville donut shop with a twist

To the great delight of a Lululemon-dressed contingent of yummy-mummies with toddlers in tow and a flotilla of food bloggers, Devin Connell of Delica Kitchen’s hotly anticipated Paulette’s (913 Queen W, at Logan, 647-748-1177) opened this morning.

The combination donut shop/fried chicken takeaway only offers a very short card, six glazed donuts du jour – today (counterclockwise from top) raspberry rose, root beer float, mango yuzu, cinnamon latte, d’oreo and blueberry balsamic (all $2.75 each) – and crispy-skinned fried chicken ($8 two pieces/$12.95 four/$21 eight).

Note that Paulette’s is open from 7 am to 7 pm seven days a week or “until we run out.” We have a feeling that will be well before closing time.
