With dine-in seating still available, restaurants in Toronto are making New Year's Eve meals to help you ring in 2022
UPDATE: Since this article was first published, some restaurants have decided to close or pivot to takeout/delivery only. Last call for alcohol is now 10 pm and all spots are closed by 11 pm at latest. We’ve updated below where we can, but please double-check before making reservations.
For last year’s New Year’s Eve, Toronto restaurants were limited to takeout and delivery only.
That didn’t stop them from creating special NYE menus, but this year you can put on a nice outfit, have a seat and they’ll actually bring the food to your table. Restaurants are so far unaffected by new capacity restrictions instituted in response to Omicron, so for those comfortable with indoor dining – and who have proof of full vaccination – there are many Toronto spots offering New Year’s Eve meals to ring in 2022. But keep an eye on your reservation in case things change.
Here are some Toronto restaurants where you can enjoy prix fixe dinners (and a drink or two) on December 31.
The Queen and Spadina bar and restaurant is taking reservations for a New Year’s bash. There will be an exclusive New Year’s menu and a choice of three appetizers for $25.

Enjoy some Japanese Peruvian fusion dishes at this spot’s immersive “Forest of Hikari” event. The restaurant will be transformed into a neon rainforest. Expect dishes like black cod aji, yellowtail nikkei sashimi and wagyu striploin. A welcome cocktail is also included, as well as live entertainment and music. Due to the new indoor dining restrictions and 11 p.m. curfews for restaurants and bars, Chotto Matte will be offering dinners priced $150 and will be eliminating late dinners. Their bottomless mimosa brunch is also available at $65.
Kick off 2022 on the city’s east side with a five-course prix fixe menu. Meals include duck confit, burrata, tuna conserva and more. Prices are $85 per person.
Annette announced December 20 via Instagram that they are now cancelling their New Year’s Eve menu. “If you have reservations booked with us for the 31st, we will be calling you soon to make adjustments,” they said in their statement. The original menu consisted of a four-course dinner and a glass of champagne. There is also now an $85 dinner for two at home menu.

You can also get a roasted lamb shoulder for two people if you pre-order. There is also a $95 delivery menu for NYE at home.
As of December 27 Jen Agg’s Dundas West hotspot Bar Vendetta is temporarily closed for indoor dining. The team says they are “reassessing a reopening date on a week-by-week basis.” In the meantime, they pivoted their New Year’s Eve dinner to takeout only, which you can find here.
Her other restaurants, Grey Gardens and Le Swan, are also now offering at-home NYE meals.
The Burdock has closed its dining room until January 3, which means no more NYE menu, but the bottle shop and online store (with delivery) are open for your December 31 beer needs.
