Is meteorite extract the next hot skin care ingredient?

High-tech cosmetics brand Filorga introduces a unique night cream that sounds like something straight out of a sci-fi flick.

Skin-Absolute hit Canadian shelves just over a week ago and is already becoming a cult fave for beauty freaks and geeks.

The secret ingredient? Among a blend of brown seaweed, hyaluronic acid, vitamin C and more is meteorite extract. Yes, dust from the giant rocks from outer space, which are reportedly chock full of minerals to make your skin glow and ward off premature aging. The cream itself is an eerie milky black but becomes clear once you rub it in.

Out-of-this-world skin care doesn’t come cheap: Skin-Absolute rings in at $195 at Holt Renfrew (50 Bloor West, 416-922-2333, and others, filorga.com).
