CLOTHES I look for what fits well, something sexy with an edge, flattering yet danceable. I have to be able to dance in it for hours and not snap a heel! My little bone stretcher earrings were a gift a friend bought me from a vendor on Queen near Peter. I got this Betsey Johnson jacket a few years ago at Mendocino (365 Queen West, 416-593-1011, and others) for $600. My black T-shirt is by a local label, The Clinic, for $50 from Get Out Side (437 Queen West, 416-593-5598). These are my absolute favourite pants. I bought my first pair three years ago and fell in love with the fit, the subtle details and the advanced design features. Now I have eight pairs of them in the same Blade style by Snug, in a bunch of colours and fabrics. I get them at Alterego (555 Bloor West, 416-530-0003) for $110. I designed the rings I’m wearing for my label, 18 Gauge they’re $60 at Inner City (795 Queen West, 416-703-6503). My shoes are X 18s from Germany that I bought on a trip to Montreal.

HAIR The last time I got it cut I was in Beijing, but I usually cut it myself.

STYLE The primal need to adorn and communicate through what I’m wearing.

INTO DJ Jason Palma, Circle Square, hiphop, reggae, jungle, drum ‘n’ bass, travelling and creating art with metal.
