Ever wander around the grocery store wondering which products are local? Wonder no more. A labelling service called Localize has infiltrated Toronto (it’s already big out west) and hit shelves at the Big Carrot as of March 18. More than 1,100 products are ranked on a locavore scale of 0 to 10. The more local the ownership, processing and ingredients, and the more sustainable it is, the higher the score. You can even scan the labels with your smartphone for more detailed info. Pretty cool. localizeyourfood.com.
