Glitz-a-lot
Can you believe Fashion Cares is in its 18th year of fundraising in support of the AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT)? Well, this hu-u-uge event, with a matching-sized name – Fashion Cares 2004 M.A.C Viva Glam Superstar! – unfolds next Saturday, May 29, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and is being hosted by Canada’s original supermodel, Linda Evangelista . The organizers hope to raise a million, so if you’ve got $350 and need the write-off, snag a ticket to the gala (416-340-9255). Or pay $100 for general admission. Or hit the infamous after-party for $45 (416-870-8000 or www.ticketmaster.ca). With more than 5,000 people expected to attend, and a hardcore electro/disco theme, what are you going to wear?
