On the Menu

Looking for a way to incorporate fashion, art, rock, commerce and alcohol consumption into your night on the town? You won’t want to miss Splendid Menu at the Rivoli (332 Queen West) tomorrow (Friday, July 23). The night boasts all the aforementioned and only costs $7, which includes a raffle ticket for killer prizes. On the fashion side, there’ll be vintage and locally designed accessories from One Eleven (111 Roncesvalles) and vintage shoes and designer earrings from Judy’s Attic (www.judysattic.ca).

Flavour Hall crawl

Join the Flavour Hall (500 College) crew tomorrow night (Friday, July 23) as they spread out across T.O. with a sneak peak at Ariel Garten ‘s fall clothing collection at Tangerine, the Drake Hotel, C Lounge and System Sound Bar. Then, on Saturday (July 24), Flavour Hall continues to flood the scenes at Una Mas, Roxy Blue, Lucid and Mad Bar. Both nights there will also be fire dancers, a live DJ, sexy models in Ariel clothing and free giveaways from Flavour Hall and other College Street destinations. www.flavourhall.com

Priceless advisors

Toronto designers Anne Hung of Anne Hung Designs and Kingi Carpenter of Peach Berserk are running a series of Start Your Own Creative Business seminars every second Monday from 7 to 8:30 pm at Anne Hung Boutique (829 Queen West). The seminar costs $50 and includes a booklet, addresses and info about applicable government agencies and regulations – plus invaluable ongoing advice from the designers by phone or e-mail. Tell them you read about this in NOW and they’ll give you 10 per cent off. Call 416-504-1711 or 416-428-6186 for more info.
