The Design Exchange (234 Bay, 416-363-6121) celebrates its 10th anniversary with The Future In Black And White gala Saturday (October 16) from 8 pm. While a $200 ticket price for non-DX members ($100 for members) could be considered steep, rationalize that you’ll not only wine and gourmet dine with Toronto’s well-heeled, but you’ll also be privy to sought-after design predictions from such masters as Karim Rashid and Bruce Mau . A dress code is in effect: flash it out or keep it modest, but only wear white or black. Can’t afford to gala-vant? Be sure to hit the D’s Plastic exhibit, and learn all about the revolutionary material invented in 1862. Admission will only set you back $8, or $5 if you’re a student or senior. www.dx.org.
