Name game
The Fashion Design Council of Canada (FDCC) has announced that the new official moniker for our biannual runway collections will be L’Oréal Fashion Week , starting at the fall 2005 shows running March 14 to 17 at the Liberty Grand Entertainment Complex. Before you cry sellout, consider that all the big North American fashion shows have sponsored names: think New York (Olympus Fashion Week) and Los Angeles (Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week). So I say congrats, T-dot, a little insurgence of cash never hurt. It is fashion, after all, where production costs are sky-high and more money equals more publicity.
