Modern textile design projects big and small (and nothing in between) are on display at the Gladstone Hotel (1214 Queen West) from tonight (Thursday, October 11, reception at 6 pm) to November 25 in the second annual juried textile exhibition. BIG FIBRE little fibre comprises two floors of gargantuan and minuscule works. Also on the design front (and again, at the Gladstone), the OBJECToronto (www.objectoronto.com) contemporary craft and design expo runs October 19 to 21. More than 50 artists showcase sculpture, glass, ceramics, jewellery and furniture. Joining the hotel as exhibition spaces for the event are David Kaye Gallery (1092 Queen West), Material Matters Gallery (215 Spadina), Ontario Crafts Council Gallery (990 Queen West), new Gallery (906 Queen West) and XEXE Gallery (624 Richmond West).
