After outgrowing her six-and-a-half-year-old Riverside District boutique and studio, designer Christina Bergstrom spent two years hunting for a new home to show off her colourful, pretty-in-prints womenswear collection.

“I didn’t want to leave the block,” says Bergstrom, standing in the gorgeous, airy new space she lucked into across the street just east of the original location. White canvases mounted on raw brick walls are the perfect backdrop for her spring collection’s rainbow of linen shirt-dresses and jersey halters.
The expanded square footage also gives Bergstrom lots of room for her growing accessories collection that includes graphic pillows, El Naturalista footwear, Lucia soaps and jewellery by Montreal’s Caracol.
Bergstrom Originals picks: The Kokeshi kimono-style dress stands out with its monarch butterfly print, $168 a Marilyn halter dress is a popular wedding season buy, $258 the Barcelona tunic comes in an oversized black and white floral print, $96.
Look for: Bergstrom’s annual summer sale in August and a fall launch in September.
