It has become a bit of a tradition for Toronto fashion magazine editors to leak their covers. Lisa Tant at FLARE did it first, tweeting images of Jennifer Garner or Coco Rocha days before their issues hit the newsstand.
NOW’s big spring fashion special lands in your local green box later this evening and since readers are suddenly commenting with gusto on NOW Daily style posts and teasing readers with garmento gossip is all the rage, I thought it only fair to hint at our designer cover too.
The first clue is the photo above, snapped by our fashion assistant Stefania Yarhi. You’ll have to guess whether the plastic ducks or the baby wipes are the real decoys in the image?
The second hint is this movie though I must admit I didn’t realize it was inspiring our concept until halfway through the shoot.
The last tip is our friends at Pro-Greens.com. Their freakishly realistic faux grass, complete with a dirt-coloured under pad and a few yellowed blades for that perpetual sunburnt-lawn-in-summer look, was essential to setting a springtime scene in early March.
