In menswear, the dapperness is in the details.
Take new Toronto label Duly Equipped, for example. The structured fabrics and sharp, Saville Row-inspired cuts designer Yenting Chen works into blazers, trousers, shirts and coats are unquestionably handsome, but it's buttonholes bound in bright thread, lapels inset with contrasting wool, and pockets placed unexpectedly over the calves on trousers that make this line one to watch.
Chen comes to Toronto via Vancouver and Taiwan, where his graduating-year collection won the best menswear prize at Taipei's Shih-Chien University. Not surprisingly, his first retailers are based in the dandy-minded UK, though we're betting it's not long before he's dressing up guys at home, too.
All clothing Duly Equipped.
