For Masturbation May, this company is coming to Toronto to hire people to test out its sex toys for a year

In recognition of Masturbation May, a sex toy company is looking to hire people to try out its products for a year.  

Sexual wellness brand Lovehoney is embarking on a 16-city “Get Paid For Pleasure” recruitment tour across Canada and the U.S. in search of members to join its new Orgasm Advisory Board.

The company wants panelists to try out its sex toys for a year and provide feedback to improve on functionality and inclusivity. 

“We created the Orgasm Advisory Board to increase our connection with consumers and continue to evolve Lovehoney to be the best online resource for sexual wellness,” Sarah Tomchesson, Lovehoney’s resident sexual wellness advisor said in a news release on Wednesday. 

The Canadian recruitment tour kicks off on Saturday, with its first stop in Toronto at the Rogers Centre from 12-5 p.m. 

Lovehoney will choose 10 panelists who will each receive $1,000 for one year of service, a pleasure package of sex toys every month (worth up to $250), and an affiliate code for 20 per cent off Lovehoney’s products to share with others. 

The recruitment tour comes amid Masturbation May, which was coined in honour of former U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Joycelyn Elders. 

Elders was appointed by U.S. President Bill Clinton in 1993 and was the first African American to hold the title. However, she was asked to resign a year later after her controversial stance on including discussions about masturbation as part of sex education in public schools.
