Mercy . Richard Lyle and Jennifer Halchuk are uncompromising about fabrics and attention to detail. They’ve maintained a style and haven’t followed the trends — sometimes they transcend the trend. And Mercy holds up internationally.
Where do you go to people-watch?
I love Moonbean Coffee Company (30 St. Andrew, 416-595-0327) in Kensington Market. You see the trendsters, the cool downtown kids, the little pseudo-hippie patchouli crowd, the cool mums and dads shopping for organic food with their kids, the artists. You see beautiful people like (designer) Lydia K. , Rastafarians – the whole world. It’s my favourite place.
