Rating: NNNNN

Who: Ian Metcalfe, fashion communications student, makeup artist, illustrator, visual artist and retail slut

Where: Tuesday afternoon, Queen and Roncesvalles

Clothing: “My Dex jacket came from Risque (404 Bloor West, 416-960-3325). It cost around $95. I got this sweater at Value Village (1319 Bloor West, 416-539-0585) a couple of months ago, and I haven’t taken it off since – it’s become part of the classic collection. The striped shirt, which is from Turkey, belongs to my boyfriend, Baris. It’s nice being with someone who’s the same size as you and who has good taste. My tie was a gift from my dear friend Elinor, who picked it up from her grandfather’s closet in Israel. My gold belt cost 49 cents I got it at a Salvation Army in Sackville, New Brunswick, where I did my BA. My jeans and green belt came from a Gap sales rack in St. John’s, Newfoundland. The belt was $40 and the jeans $19. I bought my shoes at Get Out Side (437 Queen West, 416-593-5598) for about $45. I’ve bought these sunglasses three times in the past two years. I keep sitting on them, but I love them so much. Twice I bought them at Change Room (425 Queen West, 416-977-0088) for $20, and recently I picked them up at Tribal Rhythm (248 Queen West, 416-595-5817) for the same price. My bag came from Dixie Uniforms (55 Queen East, 416-363-2333). It was free. I should retire it, but I can’t let it go. My fabulous fake diamond bracelet was something I stole from my friend Celina’s wrist. She got a set of three for $30 at Le Chateau (336 Queen West, 416-971-9314). She’s going to want it back now. I was eyeing my other bracelet on the street for some time, and then my friend Gwen bought it right in front of me. I sulked, and she felt bad and gave it to me. It was $15. I let her borrow it sometimes.”

Hair: “Michael Nasso at Toni and Guy (180 Bloor West, 416-929-4997) cuts my hair. In between actual cuts I usually let drunk people have a go at it.”

My Style: “Dirty boy with no money sneaks into fashion show.”

Into: “Fashion and art, ideally the two in the same pod. I’m a compulsive doodler and magazine whore.”
