WHO: James Harrison, communications and culture grad student at York University (4700 Keele, 416-736-2100)
WHERE: Church and Bloor
WHEN: Saturday afternoon
CLOTHING: “My girlfriend Odessa bought me these shoes for my birthday when we were in Montreal. I like having shoes no one else has. My jeans are from Montreal, too. I’m addicted to Winners (57 Spadina, 416-585-2052, and others), and on one of my many trips there I found this polo shirt for only $30. Buying things at full price sucks. I got my Fred Perry track sweater there, too, for just $50. The Paul Smith scarf is from a store in New York. The jacket was a Value Village find (924 Queen East, 416-778-4818, and others) – $7! Plaid is so in, don’t ya know?”
HAIR: “Sasha at Ritual Spa Salon (793 King West, 416-306-0040) is the only one allowed to touch it – she’s fantastic!”
MY STYLE: “Post-mod.”
INTO: “The course I teach at Centennial College (941 Progress, 416-289-5000) called Growing Up Digital the online magazine I edit with Odessa called Celery (www.celerymagazine.com) going to art galleries, concerts, good restaurants and trying to keep up with my girlfriend’s social repertoire lattes and teaching myself to play the drums.”
