WHO: Jenny Vasiloff, manager at Grassroots Environmental Products (372 Danforth, 416-466-2841)
WHERE: Danforth and Chester
WHEN: Saturday afternoon
CLOTHING: “My friend, T.O. designer Jennifer Sarich-Harvey, made the jacket -her mom went dumpster diving and surfaced with this brilliant old tapestry. The dress comes from a Value Village in Kingston. The necklace is by Nicole, who manages Planet Aid (546 Yonge, 416-924-8928). These linen pants are by T.O. designer Susan Harris ($160, www.susanharrisdesign.ca). My pink knit skirt is a true favourite that I’ll wear until it almost disintegrates – $2 at a garage sale! The bracelet is a hand-me-down from my friend Eoghan’s girlfriend. I scored the bag and ring at a clothing swap. For the comfortable footwear, I gotta give props to my big sis Laura. She made me buy these silver Birkenstocks at Shoe Market (650 Yonge, 416-920-0808).”
MY HAIR: “John of John Steinberg & Associates (585 King West, 416-506-0268) is really kind to my curly hair.”
MY STYLE: “Torn between two lovers: fashionista meets thegreysweatsuitrevolution.com.”
INTO: “Living an environmentally sustainable life in a happy, non-ball-busting kind of way. Finding the ‘deal of the century’ at garage sales with my sister. Listening to tunes and working at the art table with the love of my life, Szos. Ambushing friends in public on their birthday with my accordion. I’m about to launch the new e-store website at www.grassrootsstore.com.”
