WHO: John Paul Kane, teacher WHERE: Tecumseth and Niagara
WHEN: Saturday afternoon
CLOTHING: "My brown and orange Reebok boxer boots were $129 from Da Zone (468 Queen West, 416-868-9663). My jeans were a steal from Bluenotes (Dufferin Mall, 416-588-3664) for $12. I paid $5 for the belt at a vintage shop in Calgary, where I was visiting my sister Kelly. My vintage cowboy shirt ($7) is from Kensington Market. I got my T-shirt at FCUK (11 Bloor West, 416-925-9020) for $25. Watching people's reaction when they read it makes me laugh. My Chicago Bears jacket was a total find for $10 at one of Morgan Holiday's yard sales. My watch is a Frankenstein, with a watch face purchased from a vendor in the Eaton Centre for $12. I bought the leather band for $15 after a night of too many beers at the Gladstone (1214 Queen West, 416-531-4635). The beautiful aquamarine necklace is a creation of my evil gay brother Drizzle. It was a gift from her before she decided not to talk to me. The orange rosary beads were donated to me by the most religious person I know, Allan Thomas. My shell bracelet was $16 from Le Chateau (Eaton Centre, 416-979-3122)."
HAIR: "I get my beard, brows and hair did by Fernando at Joseph's Barber Shop (1099 Queen East, 416- 463-5247). I was shaved bald for the longest time - he helped me transform it into this delicious lid."
MY STYLE: "Tubby bitch about town."
INTO: "Celebrating my 35th birthday on Friday, getting into the incredible someone I met this past year, enjoying teaching the most energetic and outstanding grade four class in the city. It can't get any better than this."
