WHO: Julie Nadalin, owner of medical-themed cosmetics and beauty store Iodine and Arsenic (867 Queen West, 416-681-0557) WHEN: Tuesday, 3 pm WHERE: Outside Iodine and Arsenic
CLOTHING: “I bought my Steve Madden boots for $180 from my favourite shoe pusher at Heel Boy (682 Queen West, 416-362-4335). My black hose were $20 at neighbourhood lingerie shop Nearly Naked (749 Queen West, 416-703-7561). That place is like dial-a-panty, because often I’ll call them for something and they’ll run it over to my store. My dress is by Plastic Wrap and cost $198 at Odyssey (557 Queen West, 416-363-8934). I sell these sleeves for $18 at Iodine and Arsenic . I paid $160 for this vintage 1960s patent leather purse at Cabaret (672 Queen West, 416-504-7126), and man, this thing is solid! It even has bolts on it. I must’ve been in a really bad mood when I splurged and paid $290 for these fancy Fendi sunglasses from optometrist Kristin Heeney (25 Brant, 416-703-2797). A designer named Moira Roe made these earrings exclusively for my shop. I sell them for $60 per pair. I got my lip piercing and jewellery from Tom at Stainless Studios (609 Queen West, 416-504-1433). The nurse tattoo on my arm is from Stewart at New Tribe (232 Queen West, 416-977-2786 ). The other tattoos were done by Jen, who used to be at Stainless Studios, and Scott McEwan at TCB (618 Queen West, 416-203-1615).”
HAIR: “Karen at Pretty Eclectic (502 Queen West, 416-203-6620) cuts and colours my hair. The day this photo was taken, my good friend Paul Lopes styled my hair. Paul works at Solis in ChateauWorks (336 Queen West, 416-592-1275). MY STYLE: “Cyberdiva.”
INTO: “Beyond being a workaholic? Yoga, working out, watching Sex And The City with pink drinks and my girlfriends, clubbing, dancing in high heels.”
