Kaleb Robertson

Rating: NNNNN

WHO: Kaleb Robertson, production assistant at Barbie’s Basement Jewellery, server at the Gladstone, actor/singer/host extraordinaire

WHERE: Queen and Cowan

WHEN: Friday morning

CLOTHING: My canvas shoes came from a Vans sample sale for $30. I got the jeans on a trip to Buffalo with the Fat Femme Mafia. My Hulk Hogan lunch box was a gift from my brother. The fancy deluxe buckle was a gift from Ange and Robin at Barbie’s Basement Jewellery (www.bbj.ca). I borrowed the Care Bears hoodie from my roomie, filmmaker Lukas Blakk, when she went away four months ago – and never gave it back. I bought this shirt ($40) from Yasmine Louis at the One Of A Kind Show. The bandana is from Honest Ed’s (581 Bloor West, 416-537-1574) – it only cost a few bucks. I found my new jacket in a bag of unwanted clothes an old roommate left behind. My mom gave me this necklace when I came out as a trans. I did my ear and tongue piercings myself while visiting my father in San Francisco. I almost convinced him to do his nipples – maybe for his 60th birthday. My most recent tattoo is my cat’s name (Sushi) on my forearm. My pal Ila did it the old-fashioned way – with a needle and ink.

HAIR: Cut by Jane at Coupe Bizzarre (704 Queen West, 416-504-0783) and dyed at home. Evidence can be found in my bathroom sink.

MY STYLE: It’s a fine line between metrosexual and gay cowboy. Like Johnny Cash, I walk the line.

INTO: Supporting boys wearing nail polish, going to karaoke and spooning with my cat while watching America’s Next Top Model. Also, performing with the Scandelles, dancing with the Taptastics and choreographer Keith Cole, helping to plan the next Chubb Rubb event and organizing/hosting Rock Your Tits Off benefits for the Tranny Wish Foundation (trannywishfoundation.blogspot.com). The next one is on March 28 at the Gladstone Hotel, with the Cliks and Scandalnavia.
