Rating: NNNNN

WHO: Kerry Butt (left), bass player in the thrash band Beware of the Valley, and Christy Kunitzky, high school student

WHERE: Kensington Market

CLOTHING: Butt: “I got this bandana from a dollar store in Newmarket. The sweater and jeans I have on came from a Goodwill in Newmarket for $10 and $14. I got my Moonie Suzuki band pin at a show for $1. My Guelph University hoodie was 50 cents at a Salvation Army in Uxbridge. I paid too much to remember for this belt from Silver Cross (2007 Lawrence West, 416-755-1164) and I wear it paired with the $25 buckle from Tribal Rhythm’s (248 Queen West, 416-595-5817, and other) Boxing Day sale. My purse was also a Boxing Day purchase from a store on Queen West. My labret and nose piercing were done at New Tribe Piercing and Tattooing (232 Queen West, 416-977-2786). I paid $50 for my Converse hightops somewhere in Montreal.”

Kunitzky: “My bandana is from Claires Accessories (260 Yonge, 416-260-4644, and other) and set me back about $3. I borrowed (stole) this scarf from my dad’s closet. I paid $30 for my hoodie, which came from Black Market Vintage Clothing (319 Queen West, 416-591-7945), and I sewed the leopard material on myself. The pink warm-up jacket worn underneath was about $15 from Tribal Rhythm. I made my purse from a pair of old jeans that were kicking around my room since grade seven. I bought this belt for $15 from a store in Kensington I can’t remember which one. My jeans cost $40 at Bluenotes in Newmarket. My Converses are from a store called Shoe Tree (352 Yonge, 416-599-3388) and were about $45. I made all the bracelets and one of the necklaces I’m wearing the other was a gift from a friend. My labret was pierced at Stinger Tattoo in Newmarket.”
