Rating: NNNNN
WHO: Kirsten Johnson, artist and actor (www.kirstenjohnson.com)
WHERE: “Outside my Artscape studio at 60 Atlantic at about 4 pm.”
CLOTHING: “I bought my skirt a hundred years ago in Kensington Market (can’t remember exactly where) and, considering my high school budget, it was probably under $8. My shirt came from American Apparel (499 Queen West, 416-703-5146) in its original form (approximately 10 bucks), but I made and added the Corvette Drags And Car Show iron-on myself. Designer Minda Johnson (no relation) bought the jacket as a costume piece for the play The Proust Sisters – I played Dagmar Proust. My sister, Sigrid Johnson, sent these socks to me from Paris. After going into deep hypnosis to remember exactly where I bought my boots, I recall Winners (Dufferin Mall, 416-534-9774, and others), for around $40. I’m wearing two bracelets, one from my good friend and theatre maven Moynan King and the other from my boyfriend, super-composer/birthday boy Geoff Bennett. The earrings? I walked off a movie set with them – by mistake, I swear.”
Hair: “Jimi at Coupe Bizzarre (704 Queen West, 416-504-0783, 710 Queen West, 416-367-8998).”
MY STYLE: “Disgruntled party guest.”
Upcoming: “My birthday’s this Tuesday (August 31). I’m having a party at the Cameron – any time after 9 pm. Come on by.”
