WHO: Kristy Radford, aka DJ Secret Agent, owner of Secret Agent clothing line, merch girl, artist, photographer WHERE: Dundas and Brock WHEN: Tuesday afternoon
CLOTHING: "The only pair of sunglasses I've ever owned are these Guccis (Gucci, 130 Bloor West, 416-963-5127), which I got for my birthday. They were $275, and I was in love with them instantly. My mom bought me these Shoppers Drug Mart (728 Yonge, 416-920-0098, and others) earrings when I was 14. My Monroe piercing was $75 at Stainless Studios (609 Queen West, 416-504-1433). My grandma paid for the piercing for my birthday - she thought I bought towels and groceries. My Viva T-shirt is my own design, inspired by a Susan Harris sweater I couldn't afford. I got the camo shirt in Edmonton. It used to be a Roxette T, but it wore off, so I added bits from a T-shirt swap. This belt buckle was $30 from the Kelly Clarkson show in April. I fucking love her. The belt was $8 at the Gap (80 Bloor West, 416-515-0668) - but you can score better ones in Kensington Market. I make these denim utility aprons myself. I'm looking for a place to sell them, but you can order them for about $45 (email@example.com). I can also restore your favourite pair of old jeans for $25. My Diesel Hush jeans were a score from Holt Renfrew (50 Bloor West, 416-922-2333, and others). I got them for free (I was the Diesel specialist there for a while) - good thing, cuz they're $255. I won this Dance Yourself To Death pin when they played Juicy during this year's Pride. I had a bike accident last week and covered up my bandage with this hot pink duct tape.
My Chuck Taylors were a find in Kensington. They were $14 used; I'm hunting for pink or green ones. This Madonna charm bracelet was $50 from the hotties at Barbie's Basement Jewelery (www.bbj.ca). My zipper-tastic bag was $6 from Ardene (200 Front West, 416-205-0665, and others). My Sony headphones sound wicked - $70 at Bay Bloor Radio (55 Bloor West, 416-967-1122). These rad boots were a gift from my ex-girlfriend, Michelle. She got them used in NY but won't tell me how much she paid, because she's a Leo. You can get them online at Fryeboots.com. They're the most comfortable shoes I own. When I got them I thought, 'Oh my god! These have to be in My Style!' No joke."
HAIR: "I've been colouring it myself for about 10 years. I'm due for a cut, and I only let Isabelle from the Lid Lounge (115-B Church, 416-367-5437) touch my hair. It's straighter than a nun, but the girl is a magician."
STYLE: "Cheeky cheapskate gay girl seeks rough-edged fashionista for long walks through Yorkville before debauchery at the Gladstone Hotel. Comfort is a must."
INTO: "Compulsively entering contests. Cheeky clothes. Fall and winter $15 scarves and bras from American Apparel (50 Bloor West, 416-963-5000, and others). You can find me and DJ partner Ms. VanBonbon every third Sunday at Ciao Edie (489 College, 416-927-7774) as part of Here Kitty Kitty, the longest-running girls' night in Toronto. Our installment is called Damn Dog!, cuz we get crazy and play all kinds of dance and indie rock. We also play the first Wednesday of the month at the Gladstone (1214 Queen West, 416-531-4635) as part of Hump Day Bump. We'll also be playing the Gay Prom there on September 9."
