WHO: Kyra Crilly, fashion designer/CAD artist
WHERE: Dundas and Spadina
WHEN: Sunday, December 1
CLOTHING: "My bike represents my style more than any piece of clothing I own because it reflects my environmentally-conscious lifestyle, and I don't go anywhere without it. It's a Kona single-speed hybrid, great for city commuting, and I bought it at Dukes Cycle (625 Queen West, 416-504-6138). I also got my helmet from Duke's for about $30. My courier bag from Timbuktu Design is super-functional, whether I'm carrying groceries from Chinatown or hockey equipment. I bought it at last year's bike show from Europe Bound (383 King West, 416-205-9992) for $80. Most of my clothes I design myself or alter. My jacket is a Holt Renfrew (50 Bloor West, 416-922-2333) 'sleeping bag' coat that I modified by shortening and adding reflective tape for cycling in the winter. I paid $10 for it at a sample sale. I knitted my cotton turtleneck with yarn from Romni Wool (658 Queen West, 416-703-0202). Under that I am wearing a Mountain Equipment Co-op (400 King West, 416-340-2667) Polartec thermal zip tee that cost $40. My jeans are Old Navy for $30 (Eaton Centre, 416-593-2551, and others) and my shoes were about $60 from David Aaron in NYC."
HAIR: "I like to experiment with my hair by colouring and cutting it myself." Style: "Urban assault."
Into: "Being creative and playing lots of hockey."
