Lisa Pereira

Rating: NNNNN

WHO: Lisa Pereira, video artist and record jockey at Babel Books & Music

WHERE: Dundas and Ossington

WHEN: Thursday afternoon

CLOTHING: “I don’t think she imagined it would look nearly as skanky as it does in this photo. I bought my scarf for $4 at H&M (1 Dundas West, 416-593-0064, and others) I got my tights at Winners (57 Spadina, 416-585-2052, and others) for $5. These $80 cowboy boots are from Due West (431 Queen West, 416-593-6267). I bought them for my friends Pol and Selena’s wedding. I wanted a low heel so I could get trashed without falling on my butt. The leopard-printed coat was a gift from the Fastworms. It was my friend Dai’s mother’s, who gave it to Kim, who gave it to me. Daniel Innes at Sal’s Tattoo & Barber Shop (429 Spadina, 416-593-4161) did my tattoo. It’s inspired by the ‘Beware of deer’ signs on the highway, not the Jagermeister logo.”

HAIR: “Brad and Joe alternately cut my hair. Brad is at www.bradperry.ca. Joe can be contacted through me at kittykaka@hotmail.com.”

MY STYLE: “Kitty Wells’s Kuntry Kitchen meets a grilled cheese sandwich made by Poison Ivy of The Cramps.”

INTO: “Riding my bike chilling with my friends my video/DJ night Pop Smear at the Session (512 Queen West, 416-203-7961) every last Thursday of the month my all-girl Ramones cover band, the Carbonas – I play bass. If you want your video shown at Pop Smear, drop it off at Babel Books & Music (123 Ossington).”
