My gloves and earrings are culled from my collection of antiques, jewellery and beauty ephemera. I found this blue mohair scarf at Goodwill in North Bay. My pearls were Grandma Ruth’s. I purchased my Porcupine Quill safety pin bracelet in my hometown, South Porcupine. My camisole is from H&M (1 Dundas West, 416-593-0064). The suede l940 shoes are from Cabaret (672 Queen West, 416-504-7126). I got this Susan Van Heusen shirt at the Deer Park Church rummage sale I remember how all the girls had to have one in the 70s. I bought my wool skirt at Sunde (795 Queen West, 416-504-6525), and I bought this cashmere beaded sweater from a random woman when I worked for an oil company in Alberta. People often give me stuff that is vintage – that rocks my world! I bought my 70s Japanese overnight suitcase at a second-hand store in Seaforth with my nieces Livie and Lily. I love getting my makeup done by Margo Ducharme (416-452-1058, www.margoducharme.com). My earliest style influence was my mother, Mary. She had boudoir shoes with heels made out of cut glass!! I was hooked.”
