What does style mean to you?
Only buying what you truly love and wearing it to death in every which ways. For me that’s always investment coats and shoes. I’m drawn to style signatures: either your hair (I’ve had bangs since kindergarten), a silhouette (nipped in waist) or a flourish (I wear fur even in the summer!)
What is your personal style?
It’s very influenced by my travels to France and Scandinavia. I’d say Parisienne femme meets Nordic hunter and gatherer. I’m part Icelandic and was so inspired by all the vintage when I lived there. I also adore French designers like Sonia Rykiel and Isabel Marant-very Left Bank soignee. Of course I proudly wear beaucoup de Lundstrom.
Favourite part of Toronto?
It’s a running joke that I never leave my Yorkville bubble. I have to be within walking distance of Crepes A-Go-Go, Pusateri’s and Maison de la Presse at all times! I consider myself a modern day flaneuse, taking in the city by foot-thus I stick to my neighborhood. I also like to stroll up to Rosedale and peek through the interior design shops like L’Atelier. Down a bit on Elm, The Queen and Beaver Public House hosts wonderful Sunday roasts for a bunch of my expat friends. I like classic Toronto, so The Room at the reinvigorated Bay flagship on Queen is also an important stop. What could be more Canadian chic?
