My Style

Rating: NNNNN

WHO: Maogosha Pyjor, the yellow bike fairy for the Community Bicycle Network’s BikeShare program

WHERE: The CBN (761 Queen West, 416-504-2918) WHEN: Saturday

CLOTHING: “I got my Fox gloves for $39 at the Bike Joint (2901/2 Harbord, 416-532-6392). My Flosport jacket was $70 from Alter Ego (555 Bloor West, 416-530-0003). The two-headed T I’m wearing cost $5 in Montreal. My hat was $16 at Courage My Love (14 Kensington, 416-979-1992). I paid $29 for my Race Face leg wamers at Cyclepath (1204 Bloor West, 416-533-4481, and others). The 100 per cent cotton Italian undershirt was a steal at $5 from Nearly Naked (749 Queen West, 416-703-7561). I’m wearing a very old pair of Adidas sneakers and my three-quarter pants were $40 at Mountain Equipment Co-op (400 King West, 416-340-2667).”

BIKE: “The Gunnar Rock Hound frame and fork cost $950 from Ideal Bicycle (1178 Queen East, 416-463-2453), along with full XT groupo, Race Face cranks, Thompson seat post and stem, Mavic SUP rims and WTB tires.”

STYLE: “It has to work with the bike! Layers, breathable and affordable.”

INTO: “I work with great folks to get more people on bikes via BikeShare and other CBN projects and groups like Wenches with Wrenches, Advocacy for Respect for Cyclists, CBN’s tool co-op and the West Toronto Rail Path Initiative. When I’m not at the Bike Network I relax by racing bicycles with the Midweek Women’s Racing Team.”
