My Style

Rating: NNNNN

WHO: Gymbo, frontman/vocalist for the Dayglo Abortions and owner of Shred Central Skate Park

WHERE: Bay and Wellesley

WHEN: Friday afternoon

CLOTHES: “My denim was found and painted by T.O. artist Andrew Pommier. I stitched patches from all over the world on top of the colours. This Michael Jackson shirt that my friend gave me as a b-day present is available online at www.rottencotton.com. These pants are hand-me-downs from my roommate, who gets everything from Exile (20 Kensington, 416-596-0827). My old-school hi-top Vans were purchased from Mike Essner, who runs the skate shop at Shred Central (19 St. Nicholas, 416-923-9842, www.shredcentral.com). My Toronto inks come from Yonge Street Tattoos (602 Yonge, 416-929-2285) and King of Fools Tattoos (568 Yonge, 416-323-8777). I’m riding a Julien Stranger pro model from AntiHero with independent trucks, speed metal bearing and spitfire wheels that I got at Shred Central for under $200. Thanks again to Mike for throwing in the trucker cap.”

HAIR: “Cut and styled by Luke at Linus Salon (25 St. Nicholas, Studio 333, 416-925-7734).”

MY STYLE: “West Coast skater punk party animal.”

INTO: “Yelling at my idiot neighbours, skating with my friends and getting wasted at the Bovine Sex Club. The new CD, Holy Shiite, from my band, the Dayglo Abortions, is in stores now (www. godrecords.com).”
