My Style

Rating: NNNNN

WHO: Frank Brady, shit disturber, envelope pusher at Vortex Records (2309 Yonge, 416-483-7437)

WHERE: Back alley off Eglinton

WHEN: Thursday afternoon

CLOTHES: “This plaid jacket was $9 somewhere in Kensington Market. Why spend a lot of money if you’re gonna be stressin’ coat check all the time. My T-shirt was a present from my buddy Patrick. His band, Dirty Power, is from San Francisco. Check them out at www.dirtypower.net. I got these Krew jeans in Halifax at a store called Pro-Skates. I got the Schlitzie the Pinhead pewter belt buckle on eBay for $30. The wallet chains were a gift from someone who used to be a friend. I’ve had these boots forever, bought at one of those work gear stores on Augusta for about $100. My watch was $125 from somewhere on Queen West. The witchipoo ring was a Kellogg’s cereal promotion from 1971, a great gift from a good friend. I bought my skull-studded wristband at Doc’s Leather (726 Queen West, 416-504-8888) for $25.”

HAIR: “Not an issue.”

MY STYLE: “Upper-echelon cat burgler.”

INTO: “Concerts – today I scored three tickets for the New York Dolls. I’m more about silent movies. I love to eat butter chicken and laugh at everything I’m not supposed to. I’m hoping to spend a lot of the summer staying away from cut flowers and bullshit I didn’t deal.”
