Who: Cynthia Loyst, producer for Sextv (Citytv)
Where: Alley off Richmond near Peter
CLOTHING: "My gold and blue earrings were about $5 from some little store on the Danforth. This necklace, which looks like strands of gold dripping down your cleavage, is from Le Chateau ($13, 336 Queen West, 416-971-9314, and others). I made this wacky top - it's simply two layers of fabric that I've wrapped around myself and tied in the back. One is a light purple chiffon scarf from Courage My Love (14 Kensington, 416-979-1992) that I got for $5. The deep purple one is part of a sari from Value Village (2119 Danforth Ave, 416-698-0621, and others) that I got for $13. My turquoise sequined bag is from Arabesque Academy (1 Gloucester, 416-920-5593). The gold beaded bracelet I'm wearing was borrowed from my friend Tanya, who's one of the many talented segment producers at Sextv. My friend Sunday got me this yellow beaded ring at Red Pegasus (628 College, 416-536-3872) - it's so shiny that people often think I'm wearing a big rock at first glance. I unexpectedly picked up my Fossil watch from Costco in Barrie. My 7 for All Mankind jeans were around $230 - I got them while visiting my boyfriend's mother in Ottawa at a store called Schad. My frilly boy-cut underwear was given to me by Amanda May from Vancouver-based Sweet Soul Designs, who graciously supplied undies for a Sextv shoot last summer. My navy Nine West stilettos are from a place called Belks in Florida, marked down to $88."
HAIR: "I'm pretty terrible about doing anything much with my hair, but when I get it cut I go to the wonderfully talented Howard Barr at his studio (261A Queen West, 416-599-3113)."
STYLE: "Modern urban professional with the heart of a bag lady and the soul of a belly dancer."
INTO: "National Masturbation Month. Sextv - The Series (www.sextelevision.net) has created a cheeky half-hour special that counts down the 10 most memorable moments in masturbation history. Check it out on Saturday (May 28) and on Thursday (June 2) at 11:30 pm on Citytv. Also, I love to belly dance - and I will - on June 3 at Lula Lounge (1584 Dundas West, 416-588-0307, $15) with Roula Said of Toronto Bellydance (www.torontobellydance. com) for the CD release of Oojami's Urban Dervish, and on June 4 at Fashion Cares Bollywood Cowboy at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (222 Bremner, $125, www.fashioncares.com)."
