WHO: Deanna Brown, clothing designer/cutter, aka Deanna Delores on the street where: Bathurst and St. Clair
WHEN: Monday afternoon
CLOTHING: "I got my Franco Sarto shoes in Montreal. The stockings are from Courage My Love ($5, 14 Kensington, 416-979-1992). I found a dress at Goodwill ($10, 365 Bloor East, 416-362-4711, and others) that I absolutely loved the cut of, but the textile was kind of lame. So I got this hot fabric from Downtown Fabrics ($30, 436 Queen Street West, 416-361-3004) and remade it. The fur coat is also a Goodwill find. It was 40 bucks. It's fake, don't worry! Fashion Crimes ($15, 3221/2 Queen West, 416-592-9001) was the home of my hat. The necklace I have on was a gift from Melanie McNeill. It's a crystal drop. My makeup case,' which is actually my sewing case, was a garage sale find."
HAIR: "My most recent hair cut was at Alice's House of Big Hair and Big Wigs. She's over on the Island, and you can only get to her via appointment (416-203-0781)."
MY STYLE: "Reconstructive genius meets Toronto's urban chic."
INTO: "Playing with my baby girl, Oriana. She's a year and a half now and really into climbing. I wouldn't be surprised if she turned out to be a circus performer. Snowboarding, reading, watching movies and playing soccer with the Red Cards. Right now I'm working on my website with Function 3 (www.function3.ca). It's launching in March at www.deannadelores. com. Also, I just finished working on the costumes for the VideoCabaret ( www.videocab.com ) production The Saskatchewan Rebellion. It runs through March at the Cameron House (408 Queen West, 416-703-1725). Come and check it out."
