PARLOUR 6 Ossington, 647-345-6663, parloursalon.com
A collective of former Coupe Bizzarre stylists and colourists have gone west to Ossington and opened Parlour, an airy salon space for haircut candidates hunting for some eco-consciousness with their snip.

The former boarding house and brothel (with an after-hours club in the basement to boot) has been stripped of any bawdy evidence of its previous uses. Now, a mod lounge space sits between a wash area, a colour corner and spacious hair stations where the Parlour team work hair into funky but practical cuts.
Your new shag is green thanks to the Kevin Murphy line of paraben- and sulfate-free styling products packaged in design-award-wining recyclable bottles. All clippings are donated to Matter of Trust, an organization that makes fallen tresses into hair mats used to save animals rescued from oil spills.
