Pete Dako

Rating: NNNNN

WHO: Pete Dako, filmmaker, composer WHEN: Wednesday afternoon WHERE: Manning and Queen

CLOTHING: “The gem sweater was a gift from one of my Internet fans. It came while I was making my Gem Speedo video I don’t know what I’d do without my fans. My moms knitted me this scarf – it’s nearly 20 feet long. Watch your mouth or she’ll kick your ass! These eat-all-you-want baseball pants, from Value Village (1319 Bloor West, 416-539-0585, and others), cost less than a buck. I borrowed my belt from my son Max. Don’t tell him! It’s designed by Lonnie. The cowboy boots are from Texas. I made my jacket myself. I get all my eyeglass frames at thrift stores, and get the prescriptions filled at Discount Optical (1312 Bloor West, 416-532-7997, and others). As for music, iPods are all right for drowning out bores, but you don’t get that phat analog sound that old-school gear can deliver. I use a Fisher-Price player. Got it from Odds and Ends (7031/2 Queen West, 416-504-0579) for three bucks. The Grado headphones are from National Sound ($150, 615 Queen West, 416-703-1939).”

HAIR: “By Lisa Pereira – get in touch with her at kittykaka@hotmail.com.”

MY STYLE: “Pete-country Canada.”

INTO: “Being a workaholic. Right now I’m doing casting/preproduction for my upcoming film, Pornstock: The Missing Reels. Google me for more info.”
