Who: Roxanne Luchak, server by day, multimedia video artist and performer by night
When: Friday afternoon
Where: King and Roncesvalles
CLOTHING: "I got my hat for $25 at 1616 Queen West from this nice man named Matthew who just opened up a store a few weeks ago - he hasn't named it yet. It has vintage hats and accessories from the 40s to 60s. My fluorescent-orange tube scarf was 99 cents at Honest Ed's (581 Bloor West, 416-537-1574). This is my favourite shirt right now - I got it for 10 bucks at Black Market Vintage Clothing (319 Queen West, 416-591-7945). I got my hoodie from Thrift Town ($15, 1473 Queen West, 416-537-9673). A friend from work gave me this leather jacket - he tried to sell it but no one would buy it! The belt and shoes are both from New York. These are the first high heels I've ever bought. They're really wide and don't squish my feet. I think a drag queen probably owned them before me. These jeans and the gold cameo heirloom on my finger are courtesy of my mom. The dangly piece of fabric hanging from my right pocket is from Designer Fabrics ($6.99 a yard, 1360 Queen West, 416-531-2810). I also used the same fabric to cover the inside of my laptop. It's amazing how versatile it is."
HAIR: "My hair hasn't been done in a while. Anyone need a hair model?"
MY STYLE: "Mixing business with pleasure."
INTO: "Cruising around on my longboard; doing video projections for Will Munro's monthly queer dance party, Vazaleen, at Lee's Palace (529 Bloor West, 416-532-1598), last Friday of every month; going on long trips with my scooter; performing with my band Kids on TV. We just got back from an eight-day tour in Europe, so right now I'm into relaxing."
