Runway review: House of Groves

TFI New Labels alumnus Jennifer Waters was the first to show in fashion week’s new studio venue, an open platform set up in the middle of Heritage Court tailored to smaller presentations. When you let an audience get up close and personal with a collection, the finishing better be impeccable and Waters’ House of Groves lineup was beautifully made.

The 12 looks opened with a double-breasted seersucker jacket and high-waisted pants. There was a cocktail dress with a folded neckline in deep coral and a sharp shift and keyhole blouse cut from neutral tie dyed silk. The closer was a well-tailored waxed cotton trench with a tall funnel neck.
