Sony’s Blu-ray won the HD format war, and now it’s taking on the iPhone with the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1. This aluminum-clad smart phone is packed with a touch screen, 3.2-megapixel camera, Internet, MP3 player, WiFi, GPS and a full QWERTY keyboard, all on the Windows Mobile platform. But beware: Sony Ericsson execs have promised it’ll be “worth every cent,” which means it’ll probably cost more than, well, a Sony Blu-ray DVD player.
