WHO: Stefanie Purificati, programmer and production coordinator at the Drake Hotel (1150 Queen West, 416-531-5042)
WHERE: Queen and Beaconsfield
WHEN: Tuesday afternoon
CLOTHING: "I got the Frye boots at Rockin Cowboy (754 Queen West, 416-955-0676). Until this moment I've had a closet cowboy gear fetish. The jeans are from Joe Fresh Style (10 Lower Jarvis, under the Loblaws, 416-703-4865, and others). Picked up this blazer at Esprit (Eaton Centre, 416-598-2776, and others) on sale for 50 bucks - total steal. During my final pilgrimage to CBGB's in New York last June I picked up this buckle. I can't believe it's gone! R.I.P. My sister bought me the bag for a birthday a few years ago. It's in great condition considering I use it every day. My friend Chelen Hilmi (www.buttonit.ca) makes these amazing earrings out of old buttons. The pair I'm wearing were only $20. I picked up my sunglasses in Rome. My chain-link bracelet was a gift from Kim Stafford (www.driftdesigns.ca). When Mother Mother played the Drake, I picked up this shirt for $15. Check them out at www.mothermothersite.com. I have a constantly expanding rock T-shirt collection - gee, I wonder if it has something to do with my job!"
HAIR: "Karen Conforzi at Salon One (445 Church, 416-961-1663) does it. She hasn't given me a bad cut in the eight years I've been seeing her."
MY STYLE: "Rock 'n' roll with some girly surprises."
INTO: "Going to shows, enjoying the sunshine, travelling, catching up with my often neglected friends, cooking and checking out new restaurants, shopping for clothes and CDs, reading, taking pics with my sweet new camera and putting together some shows the Drake is presenting at the Halifax Pop Explosion in October. We're bringing artists from all over the country to the 'Fax."
