Rating: NNNNN

Who: Stephanie Cormier, visual artist, gallery assistant and new media coordinator at Gallery 1313

Where: Queen and Dufferin

When: Thursday afternoon

Clothes: “My clogs are from the shoe guy in front of the Dominion at College and Crawford. He had them in the shop (Mr. Soles, 731 College, 416-534-5744) for years until he sold them to me for about $25. My socks are from H&M ($3, 1 Dundas West, 416-623-4300). My pants are from Top Shop in London, England they were about $46. My dress was only 65 cents at Goodwill (234 Adelaide East, 416-362-4711, and others). I altered it myself. My belt is from Value Village (924 Queen East, 416-778-4818, and others) and cost 5 bucks. My T-shirt was $40 (Public, 881 Queen West, www.public881. com). I like the message (“Ode to Yoko”), as it’s positive and simple and causes so much reaction! This cardigan ($8) came from Bungalow (273 Augusta, 416-598-0204), which is my favourite new(ish) store in Kensington Market. They have great furniture. I got this vintage bracelet from Rozaneh (799b College). It’s truly and delightfully gaudy and cost $15. One ring is from my friend Linda, who owns Linda Penwarden Jewellery (631 Mount Pleasant, 416-484-1843). She does really nice contemporary high-end custom (not costume!) jewellery. The other ring is from my friend Donny from Thailand, who was the chef at the restaurant I worked at in London.”

Hair: “Michelle at Lid Lounge (115-B Church, 416 367-5437).”

My Style: “Stubbornly and individually eclectic.”

Into: “Reading long tragic novels, the fine balance between autonomy and altruism, healthy eating and destructive fun.”

Coming up: “Showing work at Gallery 1313‘s (1313 Queen West, 416-536-6778, www.g1313.org) fundraiser for tsunami relief. It runs until Saturday (January 23). Drop by, would ya? I’m working on my photo-based art project Goodwill & Salvation, which I was lucky enough to get funding for from the Toronto Arts Council and Canada Council for the Arts. I’m also writing for a small art zine, Flack, which comes out in March.”
