StyleXchange, 181 Yonge 416-214-0111, www.stylexchange.com
With three booming locations in Montreal, it was only a matter of time before 20-something brothers Mark and George Batchoun - also the publishers of fashionista style bible Strut - opened their first StyleXchange outpost outside Quebec, in prime-real-estate digs across from the Eaton Centre. The store's 4,300 sqare feet of retail heaven is conveniently divided into designer mini-boutiques, easing the heartbreaking job of editing down your purchases - you'll want to buy everything. The store carries everything from accessories to shoes, handbags to complete designer collections, and not a square foot is wasted, but the high industrial ceilings keep the space from feeling claustrophobic. Bring your credit cards and get ready to use 'em. You won't be able to resist the never-ending cuteness working the racks.
Store's picks: Fornarina skirt, $164.95; Numero T-shirt, $35.99; jeans by Diesel, $339.95, Energie, $229.95, and Seven, $264.95.
Look for: Must-have brands such as Miss Sixty, Ecko Red, Juicy Couture and, exclusive to the store, the Montreal-based Numero label; trendy cash-enhanced teens blowing their part-time paycheques; and a huge ceiling-to-floor wall of his-and-hers denim.
Hours: Monday-Wednesday and Saturday 10 am to 8 pm, Thursday-Friday 10 am to 9 pm and Sunday noon to 6 pm.
