One of the most glamorama fundraising events of the year is here again: be fabulous for a cause at Fashion Cares! It costs, but the funds raised for the AIDS Committee of Toronto will give you some sexy karma. This year's June 1 party boasts a circus theme, Broadway dance numbers, a fashion show (naturally) and a sideshow tent full of buskers, carnies and performers. And lots of cute people to look at. Afterparty-only tickets are $40 ($50 at the door), general admission tix are $100 (including a cocktail reception), and gala admission is $350, which includes everything and a three-course dinner to boot. Gala tix are available from ACT via 416-340-9255. For all other tickets call 416-870-8000.
Hey, audiophiles and DJ nerds -- Eastern Bloc Records (336 Yonge) is having a 20-per-cent-off sale on Roland and Boss groove and sampling gear. Get your dancing asses down there. Until Monday (May 6). 416-593-4355.
If you're in the automobilic classes, it's worth your while to head out to the Phantom warehouse sale (207 Weston). Bathing suits are going for $20 each, and with savings of up to 70 per cent off and up, this is a good time to stock up on tights, socks, leggings and dancewear. Sunday (May 5), from 8 am to 4 pm. 416-762-7177.
The Brick Shirt House (112 Cumberland), the place for the young gentleman on the go, is having a 50-per-cent-off sale on items throughout the store, including RLX jeans, Hartford shirts and G. Martin sweaters. 416-964-7021.
