Get green

There’s no fresher season than spring to embrace an eco-friendly lifestyle, and no better spot to find inspiration this week than the annual Green Living Show (Friday to Sunday, April 12-14, at the Direct Energy Centre, Exhibition Place, greenlivingonline.com). Lifestyle attractions include a fashion designer showcase on Saturday featuring green garmentos like Fashion Takes Action’s Kelly Drennan and Preloved founder Julia Grieve. And watch out for NOW’s Ecoholic, Adria Vasil, on Saturday at 1:30 pm, when she talks about healthy aging, and on Sunday at 2 pm, when she gives tips on how to limit children’s exposure to environmental toxins. Tickets are $16, stu/srs $12.

K-Way at Holts

Popping up at Holt Renfrew (50 Bloor West, 416-922-2333, and others, holtrenfrew.com) just in time for rain jacket and windbreaker season, K-Way shop-in-shops are selling a lineup of weatherproof retro outerwear and accessories. Finds for men, women and kids include nylon duffle bags, messenger carriers, A-line raincoats and short zip-ups in classic and bright hues priced from $55 to $195. Also watch for sleek hard-sided K-Way luggage.

Dundas pop-up

The 101 Markets team (101markets.wordpress.com) who launched the monthly bazaar at 3030 in the Junction are bringing their vintage and local designer mix to 1418 Dundas West for the month-long 101 SUPERmarket pop-up. Launching today (Thursday, April 11) until May 12, the space will host vintage sellers like Lily’s Closet, Ian Drummond Collection and Upside Dive plus contemporary Toronto labels Leilanni and Emily Woudenberg. Wondering what’s happened to Magwood, the vintage clothing and accessory spot formerly at this address? It’s moved to new digs at 886 Queen West.
