Who: Thea Faulds, filmmaker, horror enthusiast
When: Wednesday at noon
Where: In the quad at Ryerson University
Clothing: "My flower barrettes are from H&M ($6 each, 1 Dundas West, 416-593-0064, and others). I found my earrings, beautiful yet so tragic, in a Florida antique store. They have real sea horses encased in glass. My necklace is a tiny Ouija board made by Chris Zanti , who does horror- and rockabilly-themed jewellery in New York. He sent it to me as a gift. My shirt was a Christmas gift from my ex-boyfriend's mother - it's so hard to find a nice plain black shirt. I found the bow on it in an abandoned house in Massachusetts. It's one of my costume jewellery pieces. The leather jacket was a gift from an ex. The skull-and-bones bracelet cost about $3 at a costume shop on the Danforth. My pants are one of the most expensive things I own. They're by Rockit Queen, and you can get them at the Black Market ($140, 319 Queen West, 416-591-7945, and others). They were a tough purchase. I starved for a few days. The purse is from one of those cheap luggage shops, but I covered it with buttons. I make my own. My boots are from Groovy (around $90, 323 Queen West, 416-595-1059). Most of my tattoos were done at King of Fools (568 Yonge, 416-323-8777) by Shane Faulkner. His horror tattoos are amazing!"
Hair: "Mikah Styles (www.mikahstyles.com), my hero, can do a bouffant like no other."
My Style: "Peggy Bundy (Married... With Children) and Traci Lords (from Cry Baby, of course) were resurrected from the dead by a mad scientist and lurk in the night in one ghoulish body."
Into: "Horror, of course - watching it, writing it (scripts) or figuring out combinations for making gore with kitchen supplies. I run a horror movie night at the Cadillac Lounge (1296 Queen West, 416-536-7717) on Sunday evenings, and in October I hold the annual Zombie Walk (www.torontozombiewalk.com). I like reading a lot, too.
