Toronto Ad says stop feeding racoons. But that backfired and now residents want to give the bow-tie wearing animal pasta

In an attempt to get Toronto residents to stop feeding the city’s unofficial mascot, it actually did the opposite and now all people want to do is feed the bow-tie wearing cutie some spaghetti.

If you aren’t aware, as of April 1,  feeding wildlife will be banned in Toronto. That’s why the city posted ads reminding Torontonians that raccoons are not pets and should not be fed.

“Keeping racoons wild keeps us safe,” the ad reads.

The problem? The raccoon on the poster is adorable and was even sporting some serious swag.

“THEN WHY IS HE WEARING A BOWTIE? I WANT TO GIVE HIM SPAGHETTI,” one Twitter user wrote.

That tweet has over a million views and 60,000 likes.

Other online users agreed. One even said that if a raccoon came to his door dressed for dinner, they’ll always have a seat at the table.

Another Twitter user even said this was “reverse psychological propaganda.”
