Did you look at the glorious, juicy ribs on cover of our Toronto’s Best BBQ issue and think “Dang, I know what I’m having for dinner tonight?” Joke’s on you, dear reader – those are from J&J Bar-B-Que in Kensington, who have sold out of most of their Central Texas-style BBQ menu well before dinnertime pretty much every day since opening this summer.
But if you’d like to get your fix a little later in the day, and maybe down a few Coronas or margaritas in the process, mark your calendar for September 29 (5:30 pm-2 am), when the pitmasters at J&J team head over to CityPlace Tex-Mex spot Macho Radio Bar for a one-night-only bash, a collab with Macho chef Guillermo Herbertson they’ve dubbed Don’t Mess With Texas.
